IPHONE4 OTTERBOX DEFENDER

I am not going to hide my love for the Otterbox cases in this review. So, if you hate the company, stop reading this review. I love the Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 4. The Defender case for my 3Gs was great and tough. Heck, even my friends in military use the Defender cases on their iPhones. This case is for those if you are tough on your iPhone. The one meant for the iPhone 4 inherits most of the features that made the 3GS version a grand success. You will need to start off with the hard plastic shell which itself has 2 pieces that separate at the back. Simply slide you iPhone in and lock the 2 halves together. The crystal screen shield makes sure that the front of the iPhone is protected without leaving any sort of water-marking whatsoever (which used to be a problem with the 3GS version). The Otterbox case includes three layers of protection and consist of high impact polycarbonate (plastic) shell, impact resisting silicon shell and crystal clear screen cover. To get your iPhone into the Defender case itself requires a series of steps. Case includes a cutout at the back to show-off the Apple logo but that too is protected by a crystal layer. There are proper cutouts on the front of the case for the front facing camera (for facetime) and proximity sensor. Back of the case has a textured pattern that makes sure that the iPhone does not slips out of your hand. The bottom has a cover for the iPhone dock connector. This is great as dock connector in my iPhone had started gathering a lot of dust. The cover will prevent dust from entering.  The only thing not to like is the silicon on the back that attracts lint. The case costs 50 dollars. The volume buttons on the side are covered by silicon but they don’t decrease the amount of feedback when pressed. Verdict – The iPhone 4 Defender case offers amazing protection but still allows every single function of iPhone 4

Apple iPhone 4 has an amazing camera and many has given up using compact cameras. Kickstarter project allows you make amazing pictures from your iPhone by using a case that uses hidden kickstand. With the case, you can rotate up to 270 degrees and hold it in 19 different positions for taking pictures. Speck Candyshell Flip is certainly one of the best looking iPhone 4 cases around and it has been my favorite for years. The design of the Candyshell Flip has not undergone a lot of changes over the years and to be frank, there is no need too. The Flip has two layers – inner shell layer which is made from shock absorbent rubber and outer layer made from hard plastic which is glossy in nature.

iPhone cases are mostly made from plastic, except for this one. As you would have already expected, this iPhone case is from Miniot is made from wood. Priced at 98 dollars (~75 Euros), iWood 4 is carved from a single block of wood and makes your iPhone feel more ‘wooden’. The company also allows the user to engrave his iPhone for an additional fee.Unni has announced a very flashy-looking case called Atomic Diamondback for iPhone 4. The case definitely sports a different look than anything I have seen so far. Like most of the cases out there, it features a two piece snap-on design.Jivo Technology has launched its new Wrapture case for the iPhone 4. It features pile of different styles and has openings for all the controls, ports and cameras.
