The LG 42LX6900 brings the ultimate immersive viewing experience into your living room. With Sky 3D, games consoles and 3D Blu-ray, you can experience the same breathtaking 3D effects seen on the cinema big screen as you watch sports, play video games, watch documentaries and blockbuster movies. The LG TruMotion 200Hz is a unique scanning backlight technology that achieves superior natural picture and will virtually eliminate motion blur and picture flicker. This makes it a good choice when watching sport or fast action movies.LG 42LX6900 42-inch Widescreen LED 3D Internet TV with Freeview HD review. After researching TVs for about a month, once I come across with this one, realised I want it for following reasons:- 200 HZ true motion ( most of the models currently in the market are 100-120 hz)8 000 000:1 contrast ratio, which you will rarely find  LED to save you energy + it is super slim and looks very, very modern Very satisfied with picture quality.
The only problem is LG does not support DTS (digital theater system) media files – some movies will have this format and if you try to watch them screen will show message: audio not supported. To solve that problem you will need a Popcorn MKV audio converter to convert audio from DTS to AC3 (AAC).
Overall very happy with purchase.    LG 42LX6900 42-inch Widescreen LED 3D Internet TV with Freeview HD review. I bought this telly and I’m not disappointed. The set itself is very nice looking with a slight blue tinge to the very outside. The remote is very easy to use and also has a light-up feature for using in the dark which can be useful.
Playing around with the picture settings (which are amongst the best I’ve seen on a telly and independent to each input) I eventually ended up with a cracking picture, surpassing the 2 year old Panasonic LCD that this set replaced. The standard def picture is very good considering the size of the telly and the high def picture is superb via Sky HD, PS3 and Xbox 360. The tru-motion setting does work really well with fast moving images, however I’d recommend leaving this off for normal viewing.

Obviously this telly also has 3D capability, which although not faultless, is more than acceptable and almost on par with far more expensive 3D tellys. Sky 3D works well without much fiddling (sitting approx 2.5m from telly), yes there’s the odd crosstalk, mostly on graphics when watching sports broadcasts, but other than that not much to complain about. The depth of the picture is very good. GT5 on PS3 also works well, although the in game settings took a bit of tweaking to get an acceptable 3D picture but that’s a game issue rather than the telly. The 3D glasses are pretty comfy too, very similar to Samsung glasses. You only get 1 set with the telly and additional pairs aren’t cheap unfortunately. The sound is also pretty good. There is also the now pretty much standard internet tv functionality.Overall I would definately recommend this TV given the price.
