The much-awaited iPhone 4, which was first released in the US in June last year, will be available to Indian consumers from today at a price of up to Rs 42,900.The phone was unveiled by the young cast of Red chillies entertainment's forthcoming movie 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' here last night.
The phone will be available in two versions, with the 16 GB iPhone priced at Rs 34,500 and the 32 GB version at Rs 42,900.The cast of the film-newcomers Ali Fazal, Satyajit Dubey, Zoa Morani and Giseli Moteiro, who will be seen again after her cameo in 'Love aaj kal,' unveiled the phone.

The phone was launched at the stroke of midnight by the cast of the new film and the CEO of Airtel (Maharashtra and Goa), Mr Ramesh Menon.Menon said, "It was time it had had to come to India, and we are excited that Airtel is one of the service providers for the iPhone 4 in India. We have special packages in place for this as well and we hope to deliver them to the public, from tomorrow, when the phone hits the stores." Ali Fazal, who previously played the role of 'Joy Lobo' in 3Idiots said, "My eyes are on the iPhone and it is great that Airtel and iPhone have come together, especially since I am an iPhone user myself, so its really exciting to see the new version in India." Giseli too echoed Fazal's view, saying it is really exciting that the film is being promoted by Airtel and iPhone, which such a huge product and it is great that the phone has finally come to India so close to the release of our film, it's just a very exciting phase right now.
